Information about your Donation of Used Ink Cartridges
If your ink cartridges are able to be recycled for re-use, Think-Inks are able to make a donation based on the value of the cartridge.
The list above shows the values we can give for each cartridge that is recycled for re-use, which is up to £5!
Don’t worry if your cartridges can’t be re-used, all cartridges we receive are recycled, even the ones that can’t be re-used, so it all helps to reduce our plastic waste and help the environment too!
Please ONLY send us the ink cartridges in the list above. Please DO NOT include other ink cartridges in our Freepost bags, you can find out how to send us your other ink cartridges by clicking here.
All funds will be given to the NHS Charities Together charity, we have a target to raise £100 million, so please send us your used inks!
NHS charities are the legal way that the NHS receives, holds and spends charitable funds. NHS charitable funds are regulated by both the Charity Commission and NHS legislation. The beneficiaries of NHS charities are NHS patients and funds are spent in addition to core NHS
funding, they do not replace government money.
NHS Charities Together is the national membership association for these charities, working closely with the Charity Commission, Department of Health and Social Care, and NHS England to represent, champion, and support the NHS’ official charities.

How the funds will be spent
1) Small grants to NHS Charities Together members:
We have worked with Trustees, members and CCLA to set up an emergency small grants fund for our members.
This will quickly grant out funds from the National Campaign to member NHS charities through weekly, small grants that members can spend quickly on enhancing the well-being of NHS Staff and Volunteers caring for COVID-19 patients, such as:
- Funding well-being packs/gifts for staff and volunteers onwards/departments (this could include food deliveries, high energy/protein bars/drinks, snacks, refreshments, wash kits, overnight stay kits, furniture for restrooms, etc.)
- Cost of travel, parking, accommodation for NHS staff and volunteers
- Volunteer expenses
- Other items as requested by members that enhance the well-being of NHS staff and volunteers caring for COVID-19 patients
- This list is not exhaustive
2) Post pandemic grants to NHS charity members:
We are ringing an amount of the funds to be spent after the crisis is over on supporting the mental health and recovery of NHS staff and volunteers. This will be in the form of grants that provide respite, rehabilitation and mental health recovery of NHS staff and their families.
3) Consideration of larger projects in consultation with the DHSC and NHS England regarding the support of NHS staff and volunteer caring for COVID-19 in newly set up field hospitals.
